Artist’s Statement:

As an artist I always seek to communicate with the masses through my physical manifestations of thoughts. My art speaks of the troubles in people today, the battle within between impulse and logic, love and lust, destruction and creation, spirituality and the physical plane.

Fallen Princesses

Further perverting the traditional fairytale! As someone wisely said “happily ever after is so once upon a time”, and Canadian photographer Dina Goldstein seems to agree with that concept.

.

This series place Fairy Tale characters in modern day scenarios. In all of the images the Princess is placed in an environment that articulates her conflict. The “…happily ever after” is replaced with a realistic outcome and addresses current issues that affect real women, such as illness, addiction and self-image issues.

Romero Britto x Bentley Continental GT

September 11, 2009  |  Art, Uncategorized  |  No Comments

To celebrate his 90th birthday, Bentley Motors has collaborated with Brazilian pop artist Romero Britto. This is probably one of the most unusual Bentleys ever seen: a large, happy flower, little stars, squiggles and signs dance on the elegant hood and colourful, comic-like figures adorn the doors. The Continental GT – a static prototype built in 2003 – has become a truly unique work of art created by the world-renowned Brazilian artist Romero Britto. Bentley Motors donated the Coupe on the occasion of Britto´s Berlin exhibition “Come to my World” in the Automobil Forum Unter den Linden in cooperation with the Mensing Gallery. In keeping with Britto’s wider ideals, at the conclusion of the show, the “Britto-Bentley” will be put up for auction (nov. 07) in aid of the Nathalie Todenhöfer Foundation for multiple sclerosis as well as Best Buddies, an organization dedicated to improving the integration of the mentally disabled within society.
